Round 3 Lock VS Ungarra:This was shaping up to be a hard match
for the lock colt's as of the had only lost 2 matches for the season but where a bit down on form. Luckily
the roos had come to play and took the game in the opening minute. The "voice" (talk among players) had been been very good
right from the start and it was all working for the roos. With Hugh Butler and a couple other good
ungarra players it was not going to be easy for lock despite having skinny (saxon kay) back into the team. Jed durdin was
playing a blinder with help from his brother luke and all the other team members. With the whole
team working together and playing great football it was hard for ungarra to get a clean possesion and a mark up forward. Late
in the second quarter skinny went down and the roos sunk a little. With the first half over the
roos went to the break with a heafty lead and showed no sign of stopping. Some players where moved around the field
while some where given to ungarra under the mercy rule. Not only had the lock forward line been doing great the midfield and
back line where too. Ungarra's only score came in the second quater when Halloran (blake ohalloran) had given away a dicey
free kick and then acidentally kicked it to the player and he dropped it which he got another 25 metres for. Luckily
he had kicked a point and halloran did not let them get there only goal of one of his mistakes. The
game was now well and truly over with the roos with and easy 18 or so goal lead going into the last quarter. Jed durdin was
a very reliable target up foward all day and booted 11 goals of his own boot that wouldent be possible with out the great
help of the team. Overall a great come back for the past two indiscretions lock had the past 2 weeks.
